Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! I wanted to take a few minutes to write out of a couple of thoughts before the craziness of Christmas and vacation hit ful force. Today is Christmas eve and I have so much to do before Geoff and I got on our plane at 6:45 am on the 26th. Packing to do.. a couple of Christmas'.. a car ride to drop off the pup for 12 whole days.. My mom called a while ago and asked if I was excited.. I stated that honestly I had mixed feelings.. on one hand I am so excited to leave this crappy weather and head to 78 degree weather for the next few days. NO work.. just warm and relaxation! On the other hand I have to leave my girl behind. I will miss her terribily! I love coming home to her excited welcome and being able to cuddle with her anytime I feel the need. She will be in good hands, I will just miss her cute face and kisses.. oh the fun of the first time leaving.. well actually it is not the first time but it is the longest time away.. I hope she doesn't feel too abandoned! But I am so looking forward to not having to worry about shoveling the snow for 12 whole days and this constant weather that doesn't seem to want to stop. My mom asked me if I knew how the weather was going to be on Friday for our flight.. I told her if weather was pending and it could impact our flight I didn't want to know yet. I would call that Denial professionally. Also that I have put off so many things that I needed to do.. and when exactly am I going to do them... Christmas Day? Not likely. Oh well.. the trouble with flying out the day after Christmas you can't run out to get those last minute things. This will probably be my last post before I go.. so have a great holiday and I will be eager to post new pictures and update when I return.. then again I am planning in bring my computer.. so I might just post while I am away... right?

Anyway.. here are some shots to tide you over....

My sister and her husband came into town Monday night and stayed with us on their way to GR for Christmas.. they brought with them their two rotties (Sage is 2 and Barron is about 14 weeks old) I just love this picture of the three of them waiting at the door. Akyra at seven months is almost as big as my sister's 2 year old full-grown rottie.. we have much more growth in store for us...

Akyra just loved little Barron.. she played and played and played with him until she wore him out. They couldn't get enough of each other... next time they see each other he could be bigger then her... then again maybe not.. but they both play the same way so they were perfectly matched. Sage on the other hand was the "old bitty".. she didn't want to play so much.. she just barked at Akyra when she tryed to get her to play... no this was not their first time meeting.. they spent Akyra's first whole weekend home together and several other times too... but Sage was not in the mood this time.... and then when they left Akyra too was down for the count. Gotta love puppies that just don't know when they have had enough.
Anyway... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I will be in warm weather in less than 40 hours!

Blogging fun

So I just wanted to write a quick post because apparently I needed to dig around on this blog to find out how to change from Pacific time to Eastern time as on my last blog I discovered my timestamps were on Pacific time... hum... well I have spend the last few hours moving around the blog trying to move from two columns to three... (thanks for the tip.. Jana).. I have changed around many things and have attempted a few times on different templates and I kept picking templates that didn't have some of the programing that was indicated in the directions... oh how fun... so I just changed some other things around and called it good! LOL So I have a fresh new look and I will try again some other day on the three column thing. But I am tired and must get some sleep. It is back to work tomorrow. I only have seven working days left until I am on VACATION for two weeks. HURRAY!

And hey.. my date changed when I changed the timezone.. very cool!

The Big 3-0!

Well the day has come... I am now officially 30 years old... wow, I can't believe it, I certainly don't "feel 30"... whatever that is supposed to feel like... but I am strangely okay with turning 30 after all it is just a number right... a big big number.. lol... I am however really looking forward to the shin-dig this evening... I am really excited about that. Bring on the drinks and games... how perfect is it to turn another year older on a Saturday, how awesome! It will be nice to celebrate with friends and family.

Thought I would post this picture of Akyra while I was on here... we have this new ornament that needs a picture.. and well I thought it would be cute for her to have a Santa hat in the "Christmas picture"... well she apparently doesn't like that idea... (really what dog does).. she keep turning her head, moving away, or wouldnt look at me.. I swear she knows what she is doing... she just wanted to chew on her bone and I was "bothering her"... lol.. She is like a person that doesn't like her picture taken... little does she know who she is dealing with... I WILL get that picture.. you watch...

So apprarently this blog is on Pacific time not Eastern.. boo!
