So I took Akyra in today for her 10 day check up! And hurray the ordeal is over. She was able to remove her cone and her stitches are healing nicely! What a fun 10 days it has been. Current weight 62.4 lbs... holy crap! And on Sunday she will be 6 months old officially!
Poor thing I took this picture of her this morning before our appointment to remind us of the fun of the last ten days. Take a good look at the cone. Notice the tears and the teeth marks all over it! She hated that thing and was successful at breaking it on two different occasions. What a smart girl.
This is her when we got back from the vet this morning. Sitting pretty, life can return to normal again... in fact she is sitting at my feet right now. She just loves being around us. What she doesn't know is that starting today she is going to be getting some serious training again. She has not been listening as well as she was just ten "short" days ago... and we were not as tough on her.. well because we couldn't be with her healing.. but not anymore. Sorry Akyra but since you are back to normal so to will be the rules... ahhhhh the joys of life.
