Trying this out

So I thought I would try to start a blog. I know a few people that are doing them and thought what the heck. I too should give it a try. So bare with me.

I would like to start my blog with my most recent adventure... I got my haircut... I know people do that all the time, but this week I not only cut off all of my hair but I also dyed it red too! Which for me is huge. I walked into the salon planning on dying my back to it's natural color (brown) from the highlights I have been putting in my hair since my wedding last summer. For some reason when the stylist suggested a red tone, I didn't refuse I thought what the heck, why not it is just hair right.. then when looking at hair styles in magazines while my hair color set and the cuts that I was drawn to were all short... at first I thought like this but with more length... then I thought (for the second time).. why not, cut it off! So there I was in the chair and she just kept cutting... and then it was really short and she began to take off even more hair... but it did look much better with less hair... so there you have it... I am now a red head and have really short hair... and to my recollection it is shorter than I have EVER allowed it to be... and frankly I love it! Now my husband on the other hand was shocked when I showed up at his work with the new do... and no he had no warning (shame on evil me)... but he didn't even know it was me at first.. after almost 8 years of being together I finally shocked him. =) And his shock and reaction was not good but he never said he did like it he just said it was "weird" on me... he couldn't wrap his head around the "double wammy" as he termed it (really short and red)... but here it is three days later and he has gotten used to it and all is right again. Thank God because I am really liking this color and I would hate to have to go in a change it because my usually laid back husband hated it. (Not a whole lot can be done about the length).
Hair before cut and color

Hair after cut and color!

So there you have it! My new do. My way to express myself for fall. Sometimes we just need a little (or big) change in our lives.
